The Swissotel Sydney’s new Crossroads Bar was the place to be last night as 300 travel industry folk gathered for the final Thirsty Thursdays for 2012.

Exclusive sponsor Travelport was on hand to give away prizes, while the band provided the background music to a night filled with networking, canapés, a little dancing and a special visit from a cheeky Santa (aka Brisbane travel luminary, Kenny Evans).

All eyes were on the major prizes though, with Kathryn Quaratino from Flight Centre taking out the nine-day King Tutankhamen tour of Egypt courtesy of On The Go Tours and Sanela Fej from Cover More Travel Insurance winning two return Qantas flights to the Gold Coast and a double pass to Dreamworld.

Lucky door prizes were provided by Cables Wake Park, Cruise Passenger magazine, Historic Houses Trust, IMAX Sydney, Luna Park Sydney, MELTours, Starlettos and Toll Visas Direct.

An announcement will be made in December regarding Thirsty Thursdays events in 2013.
