MSC Cruises have announced the addition of the ‘Doremi Castle Aqua Park’ and the line’s largest waterslide, ‘Vertigo’ when MSC Preziosa is launched in March 2013. The 138,000-tonne ship will feature the longest single rider body waterslide at sea as part of the ‘Doremi Castle Aqua Park’, located on Deck 16. An array of water activities will be included as part of the new area including fountains, water pistols and sprays along with double and single slides specially designed for cruisers under 120cm tall. “A drenching bucket builds suspense by filling up drip by drip over unsuspecting heads, ready to rain down from high,” MSC Cruises Australia and New Zealand managing director Lynne Clarke said. “The area’s water cannons encourage mischievous interaction between friends, young and young-at-heart.” MSC Preziosa is set to be christened in Genoa on 23 March 2013 and will also feature the all-new adults only ‘Top 18 Exclusive Solarium’ which will be added to her sister ships in the Fantasia-class, MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia and MSC Divina next year. |
