Experienced boutique tour operator Footsteps In Asia (FIA) is extending its 15% commission offer to travel agents who sign on to make direct online bookings for Footsteps in Asia (FIA) tours. 

The travel trade promotion, introduced in April this year, was originally for three months.  However, to celebrate 100 travel agents now signed and making online bookings of high-value Footsteps in Asia SE Asia tours, the offer has been extended to ensure all agents in Australia and New Zealand are able to take advantage of the high margins on offer.

John Powell, wholesale tour provider and FIA CEO, said that in an environment where agents were being ‘squeezed’ on commissions and cut out of the sales cycle, Footsteps in Asia was pleased to be working with them as strategic partners and sharing the rewards.

“FIA’s strategy from day one has been built on a commitment to travel agents to make online bookings a high margin business,” he said.  “Signing up is easy.  Agents just need to access the travel agent log-in on the FIA home page and complete the online form.  We then come back to them with their Agent ID number and set their commission level.  It’s that easy.” 

Powell said FIA would continue to expand its travel options in S E Asia beginning with the availability of the 23-meter cruiser MV Panyee for charter.  The well appointed vessel, moored in the pristine waters of Koh Panyee, Thailand, near a 200 year-old village built on stilts, sleeps six and can accommodate 10 – 15 people for day trips.  Costs begin at $1,500 per day with numerous options available for budget and to gourmet style travellers.

FIA offers 50 tours including 23 unique tours of Vietnam. Retail prices for its popular week-long North Vietnam Escape are $566 while costs for the Gourmet Spicy Vietnam tour begin at $1,500.
