Dreamworld and its sister water park, WhiteWater World famous for their thrills and spills are thrilled to have earned a place among the world’s best attractions.
Dreamworld has been awarded a rating of 4.0 and WhiteWater World a rating of 4.5 out of five by TripAdvisor for consistently receiving exceptional ratings over the past year.
Tourism Australia research reveals the online travel community extends beyond TripAdvisor’s 50 million monthly visitors to Facebook, another online space Dreamworld is making waves in.
A nationwide survey found, more than 20 per cent of the 100 surveyed admitted they were prompted to book a domestic holiday after being inspired by photos and check-ins by their Facebook friends, proving the 10 million Aussies on Facebook make travel decisions based on their friends' social media activity.
Dreamworld Marketing General Manager, Kathryn Valk is proud the Gold Coast attractions have been rated so highly by TripAdvisor and says the Excellence Award highlights how Dreamworld is dominating the online market.
“Dreamworld’s Facebook page alone has more than 430,000 followers, making Dreamworld one of the top ten most successful Facebook pages in Australia and leaders in social media,” she said.
“We use the forum to have a two-way conversation with our loyal guests and to communicate our latest news and offers in the most time efficient and effective manner.
“Facebook is a great place for our guests to share unique Dreamworld memories with one another. The platform also gives theme park enthusiasts from around the globe the opportunity to virtually experience our rides and our attractions,” said Kathryn.
SkyPoint Observation Deck and SkyPoint Climb who are owned by, Ardent Leisure the same owners as Dreamworld, are also rated highly by TripAdvisor. Dreamworld, WhiteWater World, SkyPoint and SkyPoint Climb all also have a growing number of Twitter followers.
