Sabre Pacific's locally-developed corporate booking engine, Sabre Online, will today undergo a complete visual overhaul as part of a major update. The update includes major changes to the solution's look and feel, in addition to the launch of all new graphical seat request functionality. Sabre Pacific GM sales and product Australia and New Zealand, Carl Frier, says Sabre Pacific has invested 'significantly' in the improvement of this solution to assist travel management companies in growing their corporate business online. "To ensure the new-look Sabre Online exceeded expectations, we employed user experience consultants who conducted research, customer interviews and usability studies with eye tracking technology. Their findings and recommendations were handed to our creative agency, who worked directly with developers to give our solution both form and function," says Frier. The new-look Sabre Online also includes usability enhancements, such as the ability to pre-reserve airline seats via an interactive seat map display. "Customers can now select their airline seat in advance, offering business travellers even more control and choice over their booking arrangements," says Frier. Sabre Online gives agencies the ability to provide their clients with a simple and effective means to book corporate travel online. This means convenience for business travellers, control for travel managers and cost savings for Sabre-connected agencies. “Our customers love the new look Sabre Online. It’s modern, intuitive, really easy to use, and most of all, it’s fast! This solution helps us service our customers via the web the way we want,” says Geoff Fairall, General Manager, Atlantic Pacific Travel, and Sabre Online Beta Customer. Other enhancements featured in the update include: new look login and please wait displays, additional narrative to held ticket credit display, booking on hold reminder email control and Sabre Online Admin Tool display.
