Tourism Queensland will provide Indonesian automotive manufacturer, ADR Group, with $1 million worth of Queensland incentive experiences as part of the bureau’s worldwide marketing campaign, the Million Dollar Memo. “Seven groups from the Indonesian automotive manufacturer, which employs more than 6500 staff, will enjoy week-long getaways in Queensland from now until November,” Ms Coddington said. “While in Queensland the groups will enjoy exclusive experiences such as rainforest dining, dolphin feeding, scenic flights over the Great Barrier Reef and an Indigenous performance which were selected by ADR as fitting rewards for their representatives’ service and support.” Over 300 staff and clients from the ADR Group will be rewarded for their performance in 2011. “More than $1 million is being invested back into the Queensland economy by entrants in the Million Dollar Memo including the winning company in 2012-13,” Ms Coddington said. Hong Leong Assurance Berhad, Malaysia and Lend Lease, Australia are also participants in the campaign. The Million Dollar Memo has raised awareness of the benefits of incentive travel to the sunshine state. “Queensland attracted the lion’s share of incentive visitors with the Gold Coast and Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef amongst the most popular incentive destinations in the country,” Ms Coddington said.“Incentive travellers spend on average 40 percent more than other travellers, contributing to the $21 billion visitors spent on trips to Queensland in the year to March 2012 - a 12 percent increase compared with the previous year.” |
