Sabre Red Workspace has been chosen as New Zealand's Best Travel Agent Technology Innovation at the inaugural New Zealand Travel Industry Awards (NZTIA) held on Saturday [8 September] at The Langham Hotel, Auckland. Nearly 400 industry representatives convened to celebrate at a lavish event co-hosted by Sabre Pacific ambassador, James Tobin, and NZ TV personality, Doug Kamo. Sabre Pacific CEO, Gai Tyrrell, says Sabre has been at the forefront of travel technology since the organisation pioneered the GDS over five decades ago. “We are dedicated to providing the latest and very best technology to enable our customers to succeed and are humbled to have been recognised at the Travel Industry awards for our innovation. I'd like to formally thank each and every member of the Sabre team for their outstanding work in delivering on our promises to our customers," says Tyrrell. "I'd also like to congratulate the Sabre-connected winners at this year's NZTIA. I look forward to sharing further successes in the future as we continue to innovate to support your evolving needs." Sabre Red Workspace was chosen from an international field of offerings for its innovative open source technology platform, which gives users control over their systems through enabling third party developers to integrate creative solutions for the travel industry directly into the Workspace.
