Samoa – The Treasured Islands Is Paradise to the Voice Heartthrob
|
Samoa will provide the spectacular backdrop to Ben Hazlewood’s new single, Paradise Calling. Hot on the heels of his success, Ben’s first single, Paradise Calling will be released later in the year and is predicted to be a huge success for the singing heartthrob.
One of the favorites to take out the title of The Voice, Ben was a finalist at the Australian version of the show.
His inaugural music video is currently being shot in Samoa around the island of Upolu and will feature Ben enjoying the natural wonders that Samoa is known for.
Peter Sereno of Samoa Tourism Authority says shooting Ben’s first single in Samoa makes sense.
“Many Australians don’t know that in our backyard, in the heart of the Pacific is a Polynesian paradise unlike anywhere else in the world. The dazzling white sand of Lalomanu Beach, stunning To Sua Ocean Trench, the lush vegetation Robert Louis Stevenson’s gardens, crystal turquoise waters in our lagoon and emerald jungles will be an amazing setting for this video”.
“We can’t wait to showcase our island nation to the world and we know the single, and the video will be a hit,” says Peter.
The renewed interest in Samoa is evident in the increase of Australian visitor numbers in the last financial year clocking in at a 9.25% increase from the previous year, with the last 6 months reflecting an increase of 16.4%.
June arrivals reflected a 27% increase alone from the previous month and the country is responding with upgrading current facilities, opening new resorts, conference centres and the development of a dynamic international events calendar featuring musical festivals to cater to the needs of Australian guests which should see thesefigures continue to grow.
