Marketing takes centre stage at 2012 Annual Shareholders’ Conference

Dan Gregory, one of the most popular panellists on ABC TV's The Gruen Transfer, will offer Travellers Choice members a few secrets to marketing success when he addresses the national retail group's Annual Shareholders' Conference in November.

Gregory has been responsible for some of the most successful brand campaigns and product launches in Australian history, with clients including Coca Cola and News Ltd. He is also the founder and CEO of The Impossible Institute, which helps Australian companies understand what drives their customers and employees.

Speaking at the 2012 Shareholders' Conference he will use his experience to show Travellers Choice members how they can take new and creative approaches to engaging and persuading clients.

Delegates to this year’s event - which takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley in New South Wales - will also have more opportunities than ever before to share their own insights and experiences with fellow members.

One of the highlights of the 2012 Conference will ‘Going for Gold In Your Business’, a 90 minute session during which five experts, including some of Travellers Choice’s most successful members, will address topics such as sales development, marketing, cruise and staff management.

Delegates will then contribute their own thoughts on these themes during a series of small-group discussions led by Margot Halbert, owner of Perth-based Positive Persuasion, which works closely with the leaders of some of Australia’s most admired companies.

This year's speaker list also includes AFTA Chief Executive Jayson Westbury, who will update Travellers Choice members on the forthcoming changes to consumer protection, travel agent licensing and the Travel Compensation Fund.

Keeping the event on track will be Master of Ceremonies James Tobin, currently a member of the Seven Network’s Sunrise team.

Tobin entered the media industry in 1999 and since then he's featured on Foxtel’s Nickelodeon Channel, appeared in the medical drama All Saints, lit up Dancing with The Stars, and more recently made a number of corporate videos for Sabre Pacific.
