A quarter of Australian travellers have confessed to smuggling guests into their hotel rooms, running naked down hotel corridors and taking longer than normal showers, a survey has revealed . While 40 percent of those polled admitted to smuggling family and friends into a room booked for only two guests, more than half said they would draw the line at pinching breakfast for their ‘unofficial’ guests. And it’s not just the young ones running amok, as the survey shows those aged 45 to 54 were most likely to host room parties or get their gear off. According to the study, Aussies take a relaxed approach to the environment, with 63 percent of respondents requiring an extra key to keep the air-conditioning running all day and 70 percent of people claiming that after taking ten minutes to figure out how to turn on a hotel shower, they will spend longer in there. ZUJI Australia and APAC managing director James Gaskell said that late checkouts and free WiFi were the top priorities for Australian hotel guests. |
