This week, Tower Lodge has taken out top honours for the second time winning Global Luxury Lodge in the 2012 World Luxury Hotel Awards ceremony in Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur. The win cements Tower Lodge position as the ultimate Australian country experience. The win tops off an exciting year for Tower Estate who has recently embarked on a host of plans set to take the Hunter Valley property into the future. The World Luxury Hotel Awards are seen as the pinnacle of achievement for Luxury Hotels worldwide setting the benchmark for service excellence for luxury on a global front. Managing Director of Tower Estate, Matt Cowley says; “We are honoured to have received this accolade for the second time, the business is entering an exciting phase in its history with a new team of hospitality professionals and a host of plans to enhance the property.” Currently under development at Tower Estate is a series of gardens and walks that will link the Winery to the Lodge through to Roberts and the Convent encompassing private gardens for wining and dining and the Len Evans Tutorial sculpture walk dedicated to the scholars of the most prestigious wine tutorial in the world. A kitchen garden and farm will surround Roberts Restaurant and will bring back the culture of chefs foraging and growing their own produce. At Tower Lodge, the dining room will be opened to the great outdoors for romantic evenings under the stars. A full restoration and renovation of the Convent is currently in planning to restore the historic 1909 building into an unsurpassable guest experience rich with Australian history. The Tower Estate team has started to showcase RM Williams and wear their uniforms with pride and style, while plans are in the pipeline for a more substantial tribute to the iconic Australian brand. Established in 1999, Tower Estate includes Relais & Chateaux property Tower Lodge, intimate country guest house, the Convent, the historic 1876 Roberts Restaurant, unique cellar restaurant Nine and a stellar wine offering from Tower Estate Winery. Tower Estate was born from a shared vision between renowned business leader, Ken Cowley and wine legend Len Evans.
