Wyndham Sales Site Moves into Historic Melbourne Property

Thursday, 1 November 2012

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific has opened its new flagship sales site in Melbourne today, which will play a major role with continuing the company’s expansion across Victoria.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, part of the Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN) group of companies, launched its vacation ownership club, WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham, in 2001 with one resort located at Coolangatta, Queensland.

Today, the company is the largest vacation ownership business in Australia. It now has a network of 19 sales sites and 23 resorts located across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, including three resorts in Victoria, at Ballarat, Torquay and Lakes Entrance, and more than 45,000 owners in its WorldMark South Pacific Club.

The brand new sales site will be located in the heritage-listed Melbourne Tea House building on Clarendon Street, South Melbourne, a red brick building that dates back to the 19th Century. The venue takes in sweeping views of the city and has undergone an amazing refurbishment, providing a comfortable and relaxed environment to welcome new owners to the WorldMark South Pacific Club.

The Melbourne Tea House Sales Site will consist of a team of 16 Sales Representatives as well as one Project Director, two Sales Managers and an Office Administration Manager, led by Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific’s Regional Sales Director, Chris Walker.

Barry Robinson, CEO and Managing Director of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, recently visited the sales site to meet with new employees.

“I am very excited to announce the official opening of our very first Melbourne sales site, which will be the driving force behind our continued expansion in Victoria.”

“This sales site will provide us with a centrally located base to increase awareness about vacation ownership and also get a better understanding of how we can help owners create a lifetime of holiday memories,” Mr. Robinson added.
