The oft-controversial Gold Coast girl took the Big Brother house by storm and is back to a type of reality following her recent eviction from the house. e-Travel Blackboard: Have you enjoyed your day at Dreamworld? Angie: It has been phenomenal, it has been absolutely amazing. e-Travel Blackboard: Did you get a chance to go on any of the rides? Angie: No it was way too full on, I didn’t get the chance to do anything except pictures and sign things, it was crazy good! e-Travel Blackboard: What was the thing you miss most about being in the house? Angie: I think just the experiences you get to do in the house, like the challenges, you know the tasks that Big Brother sets for you. A lot of those things you wouldn’t be able to do on the outside, or it would be crazy to do on the outside but it’s so normal and fun to do on the inside. e-Travel Blackboard: That’s the thing that I’ve noticed most about this series – the challenges have been stepped up, they’re so cool! Angie: They are so cool! They honestly make our day because there’s a lot of blank time where we’re just sitting around tanning or talking and then all of a sudden the challenge will come on and they’re just fun, crazy challenges that they’ve put a lot of time and effort into and it’s paid off because we’ve been loving it! e-Travel Blackboard: What was your favourite one? Angie: I think probably the yes-no challenge. Just because they got animals into the house and made you do things and took you out of your comfort zone and that was really exciting to see. e-Travel Blackboard: We’ve got a reader question from @teamhousemate and he asks, “How has watching the show changed your perception of the housemates and the show in general? Have you changed your opinion of the housemates, having seen a more 360 degree view of them since leaving?” Angie: Well I haven’t watched too much of the past episodes, but I did You Tube a couple and I think you have to bear in mind that it’s a game and it’s strategy and a lot of the things that are shown are only a very small snippet of what it’s all about. There have been a couple of views changed, I guess some people were a lot harsher behind closed doors than they were to your face! But all in all, you can’t take anything to heart because you knew what it was going to be like going onto the show and I’m trying not to watch too much. It was such a great experience and I don’t want it tainted by watching the repeats and having my opinion change of people. e-Travel Blackboard: I guess that works the other way round as well because you would have said things about your housemates that you may not particularly have wanted them to hear and take the wrong way. e-Travel Blackboard: The level of bitching seems to have increased since you left, which is quite funny considering that there were a few people in the house that thought that you were the centre of a lot of the bitching! Angie: Yeah I know, how crazy is that? So people are realising that there’s an actual shot of them really winning that money and that wasn’t something that was always relevant throughout the whole show. Sometimes you completely forgot about why you were doing it! So I think that as far as the bitchiness, it will probably continue to get worse and worse for the next week.
e-Travel Blackboard: So I noticed on Twitter that you showed Ray and George the Gold Coast nightlife once you got out? How was that? Angie: It was amazing! George and I were really close in the house and Ray is a legend too, so we hit the Coast. We didn’t do much in terms of dancing or what not, because it was pretty much autographs all night. But you know, they’re amazing boys and George is moving to the Coast now! e-Travel Blackboard: So he’s not getting back together with his ex then? Angie: I think it’s been one of those things where he’s going to have fun while he can now and then probably go and see her. I think he’s already caught up with her and then they’re just going to take it slow and see how things go. e-Travel Blackboard: Has he mentioned anything about the Sam and Layla relationship at all? Angie: He’s not that fussed about what’s been going on and we’re not sure whether Sam and Layla will stay together on the outside. Hopefully they will because I know Layla really likes Sam, but you just have to wait and see! e-Travel Blackboard: Watching the show, you can tell that Layla really likes him, but he just seems to be playing her really well. I hope he isn’t! Angie: I know! Layla is a beautiful girl with a very kind heart and he’s obviously in to win the game, but on the same token, we all knew there were people who wanted that money really badly, so you’ve got to expect things like that. But Sam is an awesome guy and he’s so young, I don’t think he’ll be getting tied down anytime soon. I think he wants to travel and life the life for a little bit before he gets tied down to anything. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets out and they still keep in touch and remain friends, but live the life as well. e-Travel Blackboard: You had so much eye candy in the house! Angie: It was horrible! We had so many good looking boys in the house! All the boys milked it! They’d walk around and be like, “Oh I can see you looking!” e-Travel Blackboard: Have you found the male attention toward you has increased since leaving the house? Angie: Yeah it has! It’s cute in a way, because a lot of the boys are younger, high school kids and they’re just a little bit star struck because I’m a bit star struck by the whole thing! I think I’m up to about 48 marriage proposals now, which is a little bit of fun and gives me hope that I’m not going to be a spinster later in life! e-Travel Blackboard: It must be such a massive change to go into the house unknown and then have most of Australia knowing who you are when you’re evicted! Angie: It has been phenomenal! Honestly, it takes you a while to get used to it. You’re there one minute just being a normal person and the next time you’re in the same place except you’re flanked with flocks of people. I think it took me a bit off guard because there were 1600 in the crowd when I got out and going from seeing twelve people and just sitting there all together for three months to 1600, it was just intense! e-Travel Blackboard: What’s the main thing you hope to achieve now that you’re out of the house? Angie: Look, obviously it’s been a rollercoaster and it would be the dream to be able to get an awesome job in presenting, or radio, or something like that, that would be the dream I think, the Big Brother dream! But you know, I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing, like doing appearances and meeting and greeting and having fun and living it up while you can.
e-Travel Blackboard: Where in the world is number one on your bucket list of places to visit? Angie: For me it would have to be Thailand, Vietnam, Laos. Just travelling through Laos and going into the little villages and living with the elders and things like that, that’s something that I’ve always wanted to do and that will probably be the first place that I travel to when all of this dies down. e-Travel Blackboard: I have to say that just surprises me because I’m thinking of your penchant for hair straighteners and manicures, and all of things girly! Angie: No, I’ve always wanted to travel there, I think that seeing the other side of the world and seeing how other countries live, if I’m going to travel, I like to be thrown in the deep end...so that would be at the top of my list for sure. e-Travel Blackboard: If you could take any celebrity with you on this experience, who would it be? Angie: Probably Ryan Reynolds. I think he’s hysterical and he’s massive eye candy! e-Travel Blackboard: When you do travel, what are the three things that you can’t travel without? Angie: I think my music would have to be number one, I think that’s something that I value now more than ever! I think Flopsy (stuffed toy) would be number two and probably my make up bag.
