The vivacious, Ryan Gosling-loving Stacey brought a unique element of fun and a new vocabulary to Australia during her “cray cray” time on “Big Brother”. Stacey: It’s been cray cray! The first couple of days you’re doing interviews and not sleeping because you’re running on adrenalin, then on Wednesday I saw my boyfriend for the first time and we hung out and had dinner and caught up. Then I went shopping and spent all my money, my credit card is struggling! Anyway, the first week was amazing...I’m starting to feel normal now. e-Travel Blackboard: Apart from Grant (Stacey’s boyfriend) what did you miss most about the outside world? Stacey: Shopping! Spending copious amounts of money on things I don’t need! It’s very materialistic but we are living in a material world and I am a material girl! e-Travel Blackboard: What was your favourite memory of being in the house? Stacey: I think my favourite memories grew from the time that Ben and I spent together. Just the fun and the craziness and making people laugh...making cushions into hot pants! Just having fun...the funny weird stuff that Ben and I did, I think that was my favorite part. Also the time I spent with Delilah...it was so good, it kept me sane. e-Travel Blackboard: You mentioned that it was difficult being the neutral party in the blue/red challenge. That was the first week that I noticed you withdraw a bit, how did it feel to spend time with people that you may not have spent as much time with in the house? Stacey: I’m a real fence sitter, an in the middle kind of person. I’ve never been one side or the other, I’m very neutral so I think that was good for me...but it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life! It was really nice to have that time where I got to know Estelle a lot more and have Angie and Sam who were the people in the house I didn’t really get to know. In that challenge I got to learn a bit more about them. As hard as it was, sometimes those painful things are the best for you. e-Travel Blackboard: What was your favourite challenge? Stacey: I have got to say that my favourite challenge was the radio challenge, I loved it! e-Travel Blackboard: There have been so many “Stacey-isms” to come out of this season like; “cray cray” and “love to love”, were these created in the house or were they a part of your vernacular before entering? Stacey: Don’t curse me, but they were actually apart of my vernacular before entering. Me and my best friend made them up, they are things I’ve always said. I don’t know why I do it and it’s really bad, but I just do it because it’s funny. It makes a conversation interesting and it’s funny to watch people try and work out what I’m saying. e-Travel Blackboard: So many of the housemates say they have no regrets when getting out of the house. Is there anything that you would change if you could change one thing? Stacey: I wish that I had taken in more pairs of high heels, that’s my one regret! I know that’s so materialistic, but I wish I’d taken in more pairs of heels because I didn’t have enough low sensible heels with me! I only had one stinking pair...lucky they went with everything! e-Travel Blackboard: I saw that you tweeted a picture of you reading the diary that Grant wrote for you while you were in the house, what was that all about? Stacey: He wrote a little diary and a notebook...so Ryan Gosling of him...about things I missed out on. We’re both quite quirky people, so just random things that we think are hilarious and pictures, some really beautiful things. There were some funny things that people had tweeted about me, really nice things. e-Travel Blackboard: How long have you guys been together? Stacey: We got together about eight weeks before going into the house but I didn’t know I was going in at the time. It wasn’t until a week or two before that we knew, so everything was rushed and crazy. I tried to back off a bit but then when I got in the house, obviously you think about everything, you’ve got so much time. I just thought, “Oh my god I’ve met the best person in the world,” so I just started freaking myself out. I’m the luckiest girl in the world I think, I’ve come out and he’s still there! e-Travel Blackboard: What made you enter the Big Brother house in the first place? Stacey: A lot of my friends had said to me that I should try and they’ve always said to me I should be on Big Brother and I thought you know what, I’ve got nothing to lose except for my dignity. So I put myself forward and I kept getting through and I was really stoked when I got to the end of it! e-Travel Blackboard: Which destination is on top of your bucket list of places you’d love to visit? Stacey: I lived in Europe for two years but the one place I never went to was Berlin so that’s my bucket list place. Also the Maldives would be beautiful. e-Travel Blackboard: What is your favourite destination to visit? Stacey: I must say my favourite destinations to visit are Santorini, Greece or New York City. They’re my favourite places in the whole wide world! e-Travel Blackboard: When you do travel, what three things do you have to pack in your suitcase? Stacey: I have to pack my GHD hair straightener, my lipstick and a low sensible heel. The Big Brother house is open for tours from 17 November 2012.
