One Bedroom Apartment with a lagoon as 'front yard'

Sea Sentosa by Sentosa Worldwide Resorts has been recognised as among the world’s finest by being one of four international finalists vying for the title of ‘World’s Best Apartment’ at the International Property Awards in London, on December 7th, 2012. The Awards will be attended by Mr. Ian Duffell, CEO, Sentosa Worldwide Resorts and Mr. Saxon Looker, Managing Director, Sentosa Worldwide Resorts.

The International Property Awards originated in 1995, becoming the world’s largest and most prestigious property awards and are open to the leading residential and commercial property professionals from around the globe. They celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. The awards are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, UK and the USA, with the top scoring winners of each region then going on to compete internationally for the coveted title of ‘World’s Best’ in their category. An International Property Award is a world-renowned mark of excellence.

Sea Sentosa at Echo Beach in Bali is due to open in July 2013. Sea Sentosa is an integrated resort set on 2.8 hectares of beachfront property, which will provide guests with a choice of one or two bedroom apartments and three bedroom penthouses. It is a collaborative project between some of the world’s most highly regarded designers, who have put their heads and hearts together to create something extraordinary in luxurious beachfront apartment living.

After 21 years at the helm of ambitious resort projects, Sentosa Worldwide Resorts Founder, Saxon Looker, has the unique ability to see a completed development in his minds eye, and assemble just the right talent from all round the world to create his vision in everything from design to culture and service.

“I had an idea of where I wanted to go with the concept for Sea Sentosa,” said Mr. Saxon Looker, “but knew I couldn’t get there by myself. By bringing together some incredible artistic talent, this project has exceeded my wildest estimations. The international talent combined with the fact that Bali has all the artisans of this archipelago, meant that our creativity was limitless. The evidence of this is us making the final of the International Property Awards – a great honour and a tribute to our amazing team.”

Architect Giacomo Passera has successfully been able to blend Sea Sentosa into the local environment. Each fully appointed apartment is an example of Italian design coupled with the finest local Indonesian materials.

Sculpted vegetal walls by French designer Patrick Blanc will be complemented beautifully by world-renowned art, including work from the exceptional Massimo Listri. Expansive outdoor terraces and balconies provide panoramic views of the Indian Ocean beachfront and sculpted volcanic rocks.

THE COLLABORATION:

SAXON LOOKER: In 2007, Saxon completed the multi-award winning Sentosa Private Villas and Spa in Seminyak, now, he is again redefining “design driven luxury” by assembling a cast of internationally renowned consultants and artists.
GIACOMO PASSERA: Italian architect Giacomo Passera’s unique style has been appreciated in Italy, the USA, China, Russia, Canada and the French Riviera, most notably in the famous Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo, and with commissions for Princess Grace of Monaco.
PUTU EDY SEMARA: Putu Edy Semara produced the award winning Sentosa Private Villas and Spa in Seminyak and is arguably the most dynamic young architect working in Indonesia today. His environmental appreciation and sensibility allow him to design with the feeling and sense of sanctuary.
PATRICK BLANC: Patrick Blanc is the esteemed French botanist, scientist and designer that pioneered the concept of the vertical garden wall - an innovative technique for growing plants on vertical surfaces without the use of soil. His work can be seen on walls around the globe.

One bedroom apartments
Several ground floor, one bedroom apartments open directly onto the Sea Sentosa lagoon. One bedroom apartments range between 94 square metres to 117 square metres including balconies, with six metres of ocean view frontage. All one bedroom apartments include a luxuriously appointed bedroom with en-suite bathroom, flat screen TVs, DVD player, superior surround sound music systems, iPod docking station and a fully equipped kitchen. You also have the option of converting two neighbouring one bedroom apartments into a two bedroom modular apartment.

Two bedroom apartments
Selected ground floor two bedroom apartments enjoy absolute beachfront settings, fronting the Indian Ocean. Two bedroom apartments range between 201 square metres to 217 square metres including balconies, some of which are wraparound. A twelve metre ocean view frontage makes the most of the beachfront location while selected ground floor two bedroom apartments open onto the Sea Sentosa lagoon. Both the master bedroom and the guest bedroom boast large en-suite bathrooms. Flat screen TVs, DVD players, superior surround sound music systems, iPod docking stations and a fully equipped kitchen are all included.
Penthouses
The two storey penthouse apartments average 400 square metres, which includes rooftop swimming pools and sundecks. From the second floor of the penthouse the only thing between your horizon pool and the horizon is the stunning beach. The first floor features a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious open plan living and dining area, and a master bedroom and guest bedroom, each with their own en-suite bathroom. On the second floor, there is another spacious master bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom, private swimming pool and sun deck.
