Otway Fly offers a great day trip with Fairground Fun for Kids

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures is located in the pristine rainforest of the Otway Ranges, close to Melbourne and a short drive from Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, Bendigo and Warrnambool.  The Fly provides fun for the family and kids have the best time.

“Otway Fly is offering a great day out for families over the school holidays with loads of events and activities to keep everyone entertained and enthralled” says Tom Dennis Marketing Officer Otway Fly Treetop Walk. “It’s important to us that everyone has a great time when they come and visit us and we’ve created an amazing line up for everyone to enjoy”.

The Activities will include:

Bungee Run 21 December – 14 January inclusive
Bungee run is hilarious fun with an inflatable ride where each person competes against another in the next lane and try to go as far down the run whilst attached to a Velcro marker. The one who goes the furthest to the end wins. When the Bungee cord retracts it will slingshot you back to the start and if you jump when you cannot go any further down the run it will have you flying backwards to a safe landing on the inflatable bungee. $5/ 5 minutes

Fly Trap 14 – 29 January 2013

An inflatable ride where adults and kids launch themselves at a velcro wall to get the highest mark - $5/ 5 minutes

Lawn Games – all day, everyday

Kids and Parents can play games with our new giant chess and checkers in front of the visitor centre -  FREE

Ollie The Otway Dinosaur – everyday

Kids love Ollie and he’s a favourite with parents.  Meet Ollie the Otway Dinosaur with his Dino friends on the Prehistoric Path as he makes appearances during the day everyday.

Black Snake Productions 15 16 & 17 January – meet Australia’s fascinating wildlife
Check out the native animal display and interactions with Black Snake Productions. 

  • 10am – 4pm with education talks throughout the day
  • The Reptile & Marsupial Show is free of charge with the purchase of entry to the Treetop Walk - $24 adults, $10 child, $59 family

  • Abseiling everyday off the Treetop Walk down a giant Mountain Ash – $25 adults and kids
  • Music at Black Snail Cafe Jan 6-12 FREE – Warren Smith will present a kids show and a general performance. Drawing from his kids show, The Magical Mountains, Warren will have the kids enthralled with high energy songs that involve rock, blues, reggae. Adults will enjoy taking to the lawns with a drink from the licensed Black Snail Café, while they listen to Warren cover a wide genre.

Victoria's only Zip Lining Tour at Otway Fly Treetop Adventures:

  • Zip Lining is a series of flying foxes between trees, landing on Cloud Stations elevated high above the forest floor. Soar like a bird in the temperature rain forest. There are 7 zip lines and two swing bridges between the ancient trees
  • Zip Lining operates every day except Christmas day bookings essential (weather conditions permitting)
  • $115 adults, $82.50 (6 - 16), $75 (4 up to 6)
  • Zip Lining suits 4 - 103 yo

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures has the treetop canopy walk

The Otway Fly is a 600 metre long 25 metre high elevated tree top walk ascending at a gentle grade through a magnificent stand of cool temperate rainforest featuring Myrtle Beech, Blackwood and Mountain Ash.

For the thrill seeker a 45 metre high lookout is ascended via a spiral stairway through the understorey to emerge amongst the crowns of the giants of the forest.  The Springboard cantilever bounces gently high over picturesque Young's Creek. 

The Otway Fly is an enriching environmental experience. The visitor centre subtly introduces you to this amazing rainforest, whilst providing quality food, beverages, wine and the opportunity to relax and gently absorb the rich beauty that surrounds you.

Located in temperate rainforest 500 metres above sea level the Fly provides you with an all year round experience. In summer you can escape the heat of the coast. In winter you can experience the enigmatic mists enhancing the beauty of the forest.

The Fly is part of the Great Ocean Road touring route, directly accessible from Phillips Track and is 15 minutes' drive from Lavers Hill, 45 minutes from Apollo Bay and 40 minutes from Colac. Travelling time from Melbourne via the Princess Highway is 2.5 hours. Travelling time via the Great Ocean Road is 3.5 hours.  It’s worth the journey.
