Child friendly travel company, ‘Kids Welcome’ has recently launched an extensive web directory packed with family fun activities and is about to launch Kids Welcome iphone and ipad apps. Speaking to e-Travel Blackboard, Kids Welcome founder and author Sarah Pye said as a child she travelled extensively with her parents and identifies the importance of travel to a child’s development. “Kids grow up so quickly and go through so many different stages along the way,” Ms Pye said. “I want to encourage parents to experience new things with their children, even close to home, while the kids still want to.” The free Kids Welcome directory assists parents in building the perfect holiday for their family by featuring over 2000 reviews of activities, attractions, tours, restaurants, events, playgrounds and beaches throughout QLD, NSW and the ACT. Ms Pye said the new Kids Welcome iphone, android and ipad apps will make it even easier for users to find things to do with the kids while on the move. “I would like to encourage people to participate and get involved in Kids Welcome by contributing their comments, holiday reviews, photos or videos to the website,” Ms Pye said. The website founder initially kicked off her directory with the successful guidebook ‘Kids Welcome to Queensland’ which was endorsed by Tourism Queensland and Playgroup Queensland. Ms Pye was also awarded the Small Business Woman of the Year in 2010 for her business achievements. Kids Welcome fan and mum Terri Sanderson used the family-friendly web directory to plan her family’s last adventure. “It really made life easier and the colourful pictures and easy-to-read style makes it possible for the whole family to help plan their holiday,” Ms Sanderson said. “I can’t wait for the new phone app.” Kids Welcome is giving you the opportunity to win one of five ‘Kids Welcome to Queensland’ guidebooks by simply visiting www.kidswelcome.com.au and posting a comment on one of the reviews. A Kids Welcome representative will choose the best five comments and winners will be contacted by the company by the end of May 2012. |
