The second largest international market into Las Vegas continues to build, according Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, with the strong Australian dollar encouraging record breaking Aussies to touch down in Sin City. Promoting the company’s Australian Roadshow adult and adventure, game-themed event this year, the Convention and Visitor company's Australia and New Zealand account manager Melanie Myer said she expects interest from Australian travellers to “stay strong for some time to come”. Running on 5 June in Melbourne and 6 June in Sydney, as part of this year’s annual event, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’ and the Nevada Commission on Tourism are encouraging agents to ‘Come Play’ with a “unique” road show format including interactive games, integrated fun and the chance to win prizes including a trip for two to Las Vegas. As well as betting on prizes, agents will also be able to receive updates on the destination with ten Las Vegas and Nevada representatives attending this year. “The ‘Come Play’ Roadshow is an invaluable educational experience for Australian travel agents that they really shouldn’t miss, particularly given the interest from this market in Las Vegas and Nevada as travel destinations,” Ms Mayer said. “Special B2B sessions will also be held in both cities. “In addition, a VIP industry breakfast will be staged in Sydney to allow suppliers and key Australian stakeholders to create and strengthen partnerships.” To get your RSVPs in for this year’s road show email . |
