TravelClear winner for travel agents

Tuesday, 12 June 2012
SureSave, a leading travel insurance provider for travel agents, reports a 60% increase in applications
from individuals with pre-existing medical conditions, since the introduction of TravelClear.

SureSave was the first travel insurance provider to streamline the process for travellers who have pre-existing medical conditions.

Malcolm Collier, General Manager SureSave, says TravelClear offers simplicity to customers who may have previously been discouraged from travelling due to restrictive insurance options. The number of automatic exclusions has been reduced to only a few conditions.

“On average, we offer cover to up to 95% of all people who are assessed through TravelClear and as a result, travel agents are converting a higher number of insurance sales,” Mr Collier says.

He continued, “TravelClear helps to open up an entire section of the travel market, representing great revenue opportunities for Australian travel agents.”

“We have experienced a dramatic rise in applications since TravelClear’s implementation last year, which is proof that we are offering a much better service to travel agents and travellers alike.”

TravelClear removes the need for travellers to complete extensive medical forms and in most cases, the need for a doctor’s consultation. It therefore represents a quicker and more efficient service to customers than the old paper based system. On average, the TravelClear assessment takes only 10 minutes.

“Forms and doctor's reports are a thing of the past. For most people, our trained operators will conduct an assessment over the phone and we will be able to provide a quote immediately,” says Mr Collier from SureSave.

Given the success of TravelClear SureSave has retired the paper based assessment process earlier this week.
