Travelzoo Asia Pacific Appoints Paul Marshall as Managing Director, Australia

Travelzoo Asia Pacific, a licensee of Travelzoo Inc. a global Internet media company, today announced the appointment of Mr. Paul Marshall as Managing Director, Australia. Mr. Marshall will lead the company’s business and operations in its entirety in Australia. He reports to Mr. Jason Yap, CEO of Travelzoo Asia Pacific.

“Paul is the ideal candidate to drive further profitability and expansion to our business in Australia,” said Mr. Jason Yap. “With his expertise in the digital and eCommerce fields, and experience in strategic management, I am confident that Paul will propel Travelzoo Australia into the next phase of growth and market dominance.”

Prior to joining Travelzoo, between 2006 and 2011, Mr. Marshall was executive general manager at Salmat Limited, where he founded the digital division and started Lasoo.com.au, Australia’s leading pre-shopping site. During his tenure, Mr. Marshall also established a number of significant initiatives, including Salmat’s eCommerce business, digital catalogue services, smartphone application development, an aggregated group buying site and social media integration services. Between August 2002 and June 2006, Mr. Marshall was CEO and managing director at HWW Limited, Australia’s leading content aggregator, publisher and supplier of entertainment content across all digital media.

Mr. Marshall holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Marketing) from University of New South Wales and a Masters of Business Administration from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
