Accor has appointed Simon Brown as General Manager of the 360 room Novotel Twin Waters Resort Sunshine Coast property. Simon brings with him extensive management experience in the tourism and hospitality industry most recently as Mirvac's Regional General Manager Queensland for ten properties and a golf course and General Manager of Sea Temple Surfers Paradise. During his six year career with Mirvac he was also General Manager of Quay West Resort and Spa Magenta Shores and Regional General Manager NSW for nine properties and a golf course which involved overseeing the regional team covering marketing, finance, HR and engineering departments. Prior to Mirvac, Simon worked for Pacific International Hotels and Resorts as General Manager of the Pacific International Parramatta, a role which included owner relations and strata management liaison. Commenting on his appointment, Simon said he was eager to work alongside the successful and dedicated team at Novotel Twin Waters Resort. “This property has a well established reputation as a leading conference and leisure resort and I look forward to driving business levels and standards even higher as we head into 2013,” said Simon.
