Whether you’re dining out or asking directions around a foreign city, you’ll never feel ‘Lost in Translation’ again with iTranslate designed to transform your native tongue into a variety of foreign languages. iTranslate is free to download Available On This App is available from the Android market and iTunes for use on iPhone and iPad. Why We Love It It’s like having a foreign language dictionary always on-hand without the hassle of actually lugging it around or squinting your eyes as you flip through the pages in search of certain words. The App is also great as it strings sentences together without looking up each individual word, keeps a history of all translations and provides you with a microphone to record a foreigner speaking and then translate without typing a single word. Lost In Translation Although the App does have the option to hear back certain translations – it doesn’t apply to all languages and should be considered for future versions as reading Vietnamese off a screen with no prior knowledge or accent annunciations can leave both you and the local scratching your head with confusion. We Rate It We give it an 8/10 – easy and fun to play around with but a sound option for all translations would definitely up the products appeal. Digging it or tossing it?
