Centrally located across the road from Flinders St Station in the heart of Melbourne's CBD is the intimate Rendezvous Hotel.

The welcoming lobby leads to a well staffed reception and, once my room has been checked post cleaning I head to my home for the night.

Room 321 is located on level three at the front of the building overlooking the station. A note to visitors who are light sleepers, noise travels in this heritage building so bring ear plugs if you are disturbed easily.

My cosy room has loads of natural light and I am delighted to see a pillow menu on my bed enticing me to take a nap!

With five pillows to choose from, all desires are met and I wonder if I can request the entire menu to ensure I select the perfect one for me!

French Connection toiletries greet me in the bathroom, which may be small, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with the size of the shower head!

The 'waterfall' style detachable shower head looks like heaven to me after a delayed flight!

Needing a 'pick me up' in lieu of an afternoon nap, I make myself a cup of tea and lie back in my bed to peruse the extensive movie listings on offer.

If only I had time to take advantage of the 24 hour movie deal!
