Tackling a new form of leadership, former Wallaby captain, John Eales has signed on to join Flight Centre Limited as a new non-executive director. Although the appointment is still subject to shareholder approval, Mr Eales will step into the role effective immediately. Flight Centre managing director Graham Turner said the former rugby captain is a “proven leader” with an established corporate career in a diverse group of businesses. “His experience, knowledge, outstanding people skills and leadership qualities will be great assets to the FLT board and to the company as a whole,” Mr Turner said. Retiring from rugby in 2001, Mr Eales served as an executive with a number of companies including QM Technologies and his cofounded company, Mettle Group. |
