Amadeus has launched a new mobile and tablet-based reservations tool giving travel agents in the Asia-Pacific region control of servicing their clients at any time. Mobile Access is the smartphone and tablet version of retail application Amadeus Selling Platform and allows travel agents to address the immediate needs of their clients by accessing remotely a familiar user interface. Mobile Access will enable agents to access a range of travel content similar to if they were in the office including fare quotes and bookings, PNR creation, modification and cancellation through to ticketing and sales reports across air, car and hotels. Amadeus Asia Pacific president David Brett said as the infiltration of mobile devices in travel raises consumer expectations, the need for immediate travel-related mobile services have heightened. “Increasingly, travel agents are also less deskbound but still need to manage their workload efficiently to provide good customer service and avoid a backlog of fulfilment,” Mr Brett commented. Have you used the new Mobile Access from Amadeus, and do you find it adds to your customer service delivery? |
