The Globus family of brands has announced the appointment of Damian Borg as National Sales Manager in the group’s Sydney headquarters, replacing Troy Ackerman who recently took up the role of General Manager New Zealand in Auckland.

Damian joins Globus from Travelscene American Express where he was Head of Product.  He has extensive experience in the Australian wholesale and retail travel sectors, including roles in sales, product development, business development, promotions and loyalty.

He began his travel career with Globus in 1987 in Reservations and Groups roles and has since worked for organisations including Stella Travel Services, the Travel Corporation, Club Med and Showbiz International.

Globus Managing Director Australasia Stewart Williams said Damian was making a welcome return to Globus at a time when the group was strengthening its national sales presence.

“Damian brings a great depth of experience and a thorough understanding of all aspects of the travel industry,” Mr Williams said. “His skills and knowledge will be invaluable as we expand our sales team and increase our sales support for the travel trade.”

Damian heads a team of 13 inside sales executives and area sales managers based in all states.
