Carlson Wagonlit Travel secures Government of Western Australia’s travel management contract

Monday, 6 August 2012

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), a global leader specialising in helping customers better manage their business travel, has retained the Government of Western Australia’s travel management contract for a further 3 years to mid 2015. The contract will continue CWT’s successful working relationship with the Government of Western Australia in providing tailored travel solutions which meet customer needs.

Since 2003, the Government of Western Australia and CWT have worked together to deliver a modern, cost effective travel program to government agencies and departments across the state. This partnership has been successful in increasing best fare compliance, reducing fully flexible fare usage, reducing average ticket prices, and increasing online booking tool adoption.

Peter Brady, CWT Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand said “the success is based on the ability of CWT to provide real value through the supply of competitive airfares, reliable technology, and ongoing support”.

A focus on achieving high service levels and implementing innovative ways of working with the individual departments has been paramount to the success of the travel program.

“We are proud of the results we have been able to achieve to date and look forward to working with the Government of Western Australia in 2012 and beyond” said Mr Brady.
