General Manager appointed to Outrigger Twin Towns Resort

Outrigger Hotels and Resorts has appointed Leah Matters to the position of general manager of Outrigger Twin Towns Resort located in the Queensland and New South Wales border towns of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads.

Joining Outrigger Twin Towns Resort in 2008 as front office manager, Ms Matters grew with
Outrigger, which included a role as rooms division manager at the new Outrigger Surfers Paradise and she has now been promoted to general manager at Outrigger Twin Towns.

Previously having worked at a number of major Gold Coast hotels, Ms Matters will concentrate on building the resort’s yield and occupancy figures that consistently surpass yearly forecasts.

As the region’s largest resort boasting 360 rooms and recreational facilities, Outrigger Twin Towns Resort frequently rates in the top three properties on TripAdvisor. 

According to regional general manager - Australia, Grant James, Leah’s experience will
underpin the professionalism of the dynamic team at Outrigger Twin Towns Resort to maintain its leading reputation in the southern Gold Coast and Tweed regions.

“Leah is an integral member of our management team in Australia and we are delighted to have her steering the growth of Outrigger Twin Towns Resort into 2013 and beyond.” Mr James said.

Coupled with a heavy emphasis on providing exceptional guest experiences, Ms Matters will also identify new source markets by introducing innovative value-added services and partnerships.
