Tourism Malaysia Australia has announced that Mr. Mohd Roslan Abdullah will replace Mr. Shahrin Mokhtar as the Director for Tourism Malaysia Australia. Mr. Roslan has worked with Tourism Malaysia for 16 years, spearheading the Tourism Malaysia offices in Delhi and Sabah for most of this time. He is excited to resume the position with Tourism Malaysia Australia and share his knowledge and experience in creating awareness for Malaysia as a premier holiday destination. “The Australian market is an increasingly strong one for Malaysia, with a 13.6% increase in Australian outbound tourism to Malaysia from 2009-2011,” said Mr. Roslan. “I hope to encourage and foster this growth as more people in Australia recognise Malaysia as a primary option for travelling, and one that offers a wealth of different experiences,” Mr. Roslan continued. After more than six years of service at Tourism Malaysia in Sydney, Mr. Shahrin will resume a position with Tourism Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. “Having worked in Tourism Malaysia offices around the world, Mr. Roslan is exceptionally suited to the role and I wish him the best of luck in Australia,” Mr. Shahrin stated. |
