Party rockers in the airport tonight … Ibiza’s airport club lounge

Tuesday, 7 August 2012

Travellers partying on the Spanish island of Ibiza can dance from landing to take-off after the opening of the first ‘airport lounge club’ in Ibiza Airport.

Famous for its party scene and night life, the lounge club has provocatively been named ‘F*** Me I’m Famous’ by Grammy award-winning DJ David Guetta and his wife Cathy.

Located near gates seven and eight, there is a DJ booth and dance-floor in the heart of the 260 square meters club that features a lounge/chill-out zone with views of the Ses Salines Natural Park in which Ibiza Airport is located.

While the DJ booth with pump tunes from a selection of the best DJs of the moment, travellers can cut the rug on the dance-floor that provides a view of aircraft taking off and landing.

For those people who prefer to just chill and enjoy the atmosphere, there are low tables and upholstered sofas throughout the establishment along with merchandising space for those people seeking last moment souvenirs to take home.

The Lounge Club will play different styles of music relevant to the time of the day, starting with ambient chill-out music from 6am to 2pm, followed by funk and Latin house until 7pm, house and deep house until just before midnight and tech-house and electro-house until 6am.

To further create the ambience is lighting and food to blend with the music.

“Music, casual food and spectacular views are the three ingredients that make this lounge club another venue not to be missed on the Ibiza party circuit,” said an airport concession operator.
