Recognising the hotel industry’s brightest stars and finest properties throughout Australasia, the 2012 HM Awards were presented by TV personality Larry Emdur at the Sydney Town Hall Friday evening, 7 September 2012.

Pan Pacific Perth received three major accolades with Marketing Communications Manager Virginia Chong winning the Sales and Marketing Award; General Manager Grant Raubenheimer being awarded a Highly Commended mention in the Australian General Manager of the Year category; and Banquets Manager Devrim Erkan receiving a Highly Commended mention in the Food and Beverage Award Category. Pan Pacific Hotel Group’s President and Chief Executive A. Patrick Imbardelli also received a Highly Commended recognition in the Asia Pacific Hotelier of the Year category.

Hosted by HM magazine, presented by Sealy and co-hosted by AHS Hospitality, Blue Mountains Hotel School, Intrust Super and ISIS, the HM Awards serve to recognise and honour exemplary hotels and individuals who have demonstrated the finest service standards, professionalism and dedication. 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of the HM Awards with a record 2300 award entries.

“ It is indeed an honour to have our team recognised as industry leaders and in particular, highlight the inspirational effort they continue to deliver time and time again. Our associates are the heart and soul of our hotel, and without whom we cannot deliver the signature service we are so well known for. Upon entering the Australian market in January 2011, we have enjoyed a fruitful journey and these accolades are yet another feather in our cap,” commented Pan Pacific Perth General Manager Grant Raubenheimer.
