New Australian Travel Site Offers a Never-Ending Holiday

Wednesday, 2 January 2013

A new Australian website is attracting global travel-lovers with their offer of a dream holiday that never ends.

"Most travel sites are only for people actually planning a holiday,” everydaydream holiday founder Jacob Aldridge said.

“We're the site for people who are stuck at work, or bored at home, who love to travel and want a small escape from reality.”

everydaydream holiday was created when two friends, who met in London, returned home from a holiday they wish would never end.

Rather than re-living their memories, they have created a site and newsletter that continues that journey, one day at a time.

And unlike sites that promote multiple, competing destinations, everydaydream holiday takes readers on a single, realistic vacation around the world.

A dream holiday, every day? Sure, it's not as good as the real thing, but the combination of professional writers, photographers, and local guides brings each experience to life.

"What if there actually was a way to experience a never-ending vacation, even just for ten minutes each day?" asked Mr Aldridge.

As the everydaydream holiday website says: "It's why coffee breaks were invented."

There’s no technical breakthrough on offer, but that’s part of what excites Mr Aldridge.

“In a world of travel apps and dynamic content, the reality is that 90% of travellers regularly use email,” he said.

“We don’t push them to a different platform. We come to them in the office or at home, in a format they understand.”
