Found love or really connected with a person in-flight but then lost each other at baggage pick-up? Well have no fear, wemetonaplane.com is here. Hoping to reunite sky high lovers, or new best friends, a new website We Met on A Plan launched earlier this week to help reconnect passengers. To find a lost friend or crush, passengers log onto the site and search for the flight number, year, month, date, origin or destination and a list of stories that match the details will be listed. Searchers then read through the stories and if one sounds familiar they are able to post a reply to the story and an email will be delivered to the writer immediately. Otherwise if you are unable to find a similar story, passengers are then able to then put their own tale into words by clicking on ‘Share Your Story’ and explain how they met that special someone. WeMetOnAPlane.com founder Will Scully-Power explained that the idea for the site was support by the fact that up to 4,400 people search for ‘met on a plane’ on Google every month. “This was enough data for me to realise that I am not alone and there was no way until now for anyone to connect with someone they met on a plane without knowing their name,” Mr Scully-Power said. |
